Get Involved
The IFEM Academy grows through the contributions of our global emergency care community. Whether you want to help shape clinical content, ensure academic quality, or support our peer‑to‑peer community spaces, there are meaningful ways to contribute.
Below you’ll find a detailed overview of opportunities, what each role entails, and the expected time commitment.

1. Content Contributors
Share your expertise. Shape global learning.
We welcome contributors who are knowledgeable or passionate about a topic and want to help build high‑quality educational resources for emergency care clinicians worldwide.
What you’ll do:
• Develop postcards, posters, or deep dives
• Submit drafts through the Academy’s Content Review Workflow
• Revise content based on reviewer and QA feedback
Who can apply:
Anyone with experience, interest, or expertise in emergency medicine.
Time commitment:
• Content creation: ~3–10 hours (depending on complexity)
• Fully flexible — work at your own pace
2. Quality Assurance & Peer Reviewers
Help ensure the Academy maintains the highest educational standards.
Reviewers play a critical role in keeping Academy content accurate, clinically relevant, and globally applicable.
What you’ll do:
• Conduct structured, evidence‑informed reviews of submitted content
• Evaluate accuracy, clarity, and educational value
• Provide constructive feedback for authors
Who can apply:
Experienced emergency care clinicians, educators, and researchers familiar with evidence‑based practice.
Time commitment:
• 30–45 minutes per review
• Choose how often you volunteer
• Ideal for those who want meaningful short‑term contributions
3. Community Moderators
Support respectful and meaningful global discussion.
We are preparing to launch a dedicated community forum where clinicians can share cases, ask questions, and learn from peers. Before launch, we are onboarding moderators who will help define the tone and safety of this space.
What you’ll do:
• Monitor discussions to maintain a safe, professional environment
• Encourage participation and support new members
• Flag misinformation or inappropriate content
• Help shape early community culture and expectations
Who can apply:
Trusted clinicians with emergency care experience and an interest in supportive community-building.
Time commitment:
• Approximately 1 hour per week
• Flexible check-ins rather than scheduled shifts
